Hello! I’m Tasha, a curious, weightlifting, medium-talking, heavy metal listening, foul-mouthed designer based in Toronto.
I believe that appropriate, beautiful design begins with well-informed research. It requires a healthy dose of curiosity, playfulness, tough self critique, and an obsessive passion for the abstractions of the craft. It demands you to open your heart, to empathize, co-create, and determine if you are asking the right questions. To disrupt, design cannot be framed in isolation. Instead, its manifestation should be born of a humbled mind, inspired by the multitude of insights waiting beyond the microcosm of art and design.
You can usually find me tinkering in the studio, or buried under a pile of lovely publications and books.
I studied Graphic Design and Printmaking at OCAD University, and I’m currently apart of the design team at Idea Couture where I have worked for boutique brands and Fortune 500 clients across health, financial, fashion, cultural, retail, and food.
In my spare time, I contribute to a passion project: Graphic Taxonomy, an instagram-based design journal critiquing independent publications and books.
